Tesamorelin

Tesamorelin is a 44-amino-acid synthetic analog of human growth-hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH 1-44) with a trans-3-hexenoyl modification at the N-terminus. The hexenoyl group protects the peptide from rapid enzymatic cleavage by dipeptidyl peptidase IV, extending its half-life relative to native GHRH while preserving binding affinity at the pituitary GHRH receptor.
