Selank is a synthetic heptapeptide analog of the endogenous immunomodulatory tetrapeptide tuftsin (Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg). Originally developed at the Institute of Molecular Genetics, Russian Academy of Sciences, Selank extends the parent tuftsin sequence with a C-terminal Pro-Gly-Pro tripeptide, conferring resistance to peptidase cleavage and enabling extended duration of activity in research models.
The full sequence (Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg-Pro-Gly-Pro) places Selank among the regulatory peptides studied for actions on the GABAergic and serotonergic systems, brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) expression, and tuftsin-mediated immune signaling pathways.
Each bottle delivers 200 metered doses from a 40 mg reservoir of Selank in sterile, pH-buffered aqueous solution. Manufactured to ≥ 99.0% purity, verified by reversed-phase HPLC and mass spectrometry, and shipped with a lot-specific Certificate of Analysis.
